About Chris Everitt
I started Green Money Matters because I wanted to do some good.
I believe money can help change the way the world works. We can direct it towards businesses and activities that don’t simply reduce harm, but make a positive contribution to people, the environment and biodiversity. I wanted to explore what that looks like in practice—and help others explore it too.
I’ve worked in banking, finance and wealth management since 1998, and as a private wealth manager and adviser since 2012. My academic background is in economics, and I’ve spent much of my working life living and working internationally.
Podcasting was a new venture for me. After appearing as a guest on another show, I became curious about making my own. Green Money Matters gave me a chance to learn something new while asking questions I care about.
Through conversations with investors, entrepreneurs and experts, I explore where sustainable finance is making a difference, where it falls short, and what we can learn from both.
My hope is that you leave with useful insights, a clearer understanding of the language, and the confidence to explore your own next steps—whether that means building a sustainable portfolio, backing a promising business or developing an idea of your own.
